colour me

these frames are pretty old by now.

really cool big yellow machines tearing down a house :)

a really “gripping” photo this is. the hand is what makes it gripping…

poor guy. couldn’t get up because the sign prohibits it. that’s what austria’s like.

austrians like to read on the tram. that’s why we’re so very intelligent. and we like fancy haircuts.

that’s one of my ex-classmates. studying international development. again, fancy hair.

some people tend to be annoyed by my camera.

fancy glasses are also very hip. i’m about to order some neon coloured ones with hot-dogs on them.

it’s all about the hair. the purple coat helps of course. so do dog tails.

“my kitchen cooks for me.” …but i’ve already eated something.

i was lucky that the bus was empty. unfortunately buses in austria aren’t very comfy with all the metal bars and the lack of a roof.

he just came from the hairdresser. didn’t want his fancy new haircut to be seen yet.

haircuts and dresses…we can learn a lot from our children.

hair and dress. what can i say…

dogs and cameras…two great ways to hook up with girls.

gangsta hip hop kid.

the dog wouldn’t let me focus.

suspiciously looking elder people. typical for austria. especially vienna.

showtime!

these poor girls have furry orange balls instead of hands.

people couldn’t stop staring at them.

“daddy, are these furballs contagious?”

hipster. fancy haircut and plaid shirt.

“i have a wrench.”

iconic photo of the shiny yellow machines. we austrians think they’re gods.

i had to take a photo of my new t-shirt.

the cool thing about the dog on the right is, that it’s made for black and white film.

i stole the ball.

that was when he realized that i wouldn’t return the ball.

very doisneauesque.

the gäng.

it’s essential for austrian kids to know how to pose.

another couple coming from the hairdresser.

he doesn’t really look like a pig.

people without hair are considered outlaws in austria.

the steel horse whisperer.

omg! the hair!!!111! a-w-e-s-o-m-e!!”!”!111

the auto-wb failed. but the hair didn’t!!!

expired film doesn’t make it art either

i finally finished the old roll of kodak advantix that’s been in my dad’s aps camera for so long (over a decade).
the stupid lab made me wait for it one week in the first place…i had ordered just the processing+index…what i got was a bag full of prints at ten times the initial cost.
i refused to take them, so i had to wait for another week. that’s what it took to send the envelope back to the lab and have the prints removed.
it is great.

bad exposure doesn’t make it art

finally i have a lens for my new tool.
already exposed some rolls on it, one developed already…the pics are in this post.
i love th handling and the viewfinder of this camera.
still have to get used to thinking outside the 50mm framelines with the 40mm m-rokkor (i guess i’ll just mask the framelines off and use the entire viewfinder).
